I feel the energy when I walk into a room full of women. Some, will feel self conscious at first. I know I did. I would worry about my looks, my weight, my ability to be authoritative and persuasive. But these feelings were the cause of self doubt and blocked success. We can be our own worst enemies when we are evaluating ourselves. When networking with other women it is easy to project those negative self-doubts, but it is important that we do not project such feelings and keep them in-check. Take pride in who you are and what you do.
The world is waiting for us to use our stories to help change this world for the better. Everyone of us has many skills and talents, aka. gifts, that the world needs. Our programming has stopped us. We don't have to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world and it starts at home in our communities and ripples on to the people we impact and influence.. Everyday there are great examples of the impossible becoming so possible. Those stinkin thoughts of, "I could never"... with love, support and determination can turn into "I just did, earned, was awarded with etc." But the only way that happens is with pure determination and the buoyancy to rise up in the face of it all. Understand that when times get hard, if it were easy you'd have more competitors than haters. Know this, no one else deserves what was meant for you don't give it to them or throw it away, rise to the occasion, roll up your sleeves and let's put this work in together. Trust and believe, the pay is SEXY. "Throughout your life, there will be times when the world gets real quiet and the only thing left is the beat of your own heart. So you’d better learn the sound of it, otherwise you’ll never understand what it’s telling you”. It seems everyone I talk to these days is stuck, even me at times. There is something burning inside they’ve wanted to do. BUT that big little word, BUT. 1. We are afraid, 2. We have become accustomed to getting the opinion of others who are stuck / negative. 3. We think there has got to be an easier way because it seems too hard, 4. We are still remembering what happened the last time we got out of our comfort zone. Guess what if you don’t pick yourself up and listen to that voice inside. You know the one that talks to you often but you turn the radio up so you drown it out. You'll be right there tomorrow. Aren’t you ready for a change. Aren’t you ready to step out on faith and believe in yourself. You know the deal. Now it’s time to do YOU. You’ve helped others enough. Right now, one foot in front of the other, get to steppin' and I’ll see you at the top of whatever your mountain is. I was in awe at a recent get together sharing stories, networking, you know... introducing people to people and opportunities. I look to my left and I knew I was doing the right thing.
