I'm just saying, words are important and what is said out loud and in our head matters. The more a word is repeated the more of an influence it has on a speaker and the listener. When bad, negative, unbelievable thoughts of self-doubt cloud our mind and come out of our mouths that stinkin' thinking creates a cloud of repellent. There is a time and place for everything and sometimes we just have to shut our mouths and take a breath. Distract the mind by doing a small task that is easily accomplished, or feels good. While distracting the mind get into a habit of repeating positive and progressive mantras. Words filled with purpose can change perceptions and with every word said there is a choice. The power of choice starts the moment something is thought. Although thoughts can run a muck and spiral out of hand when control is left on autopilot, taking back the reins is possible. Thoughts and the words that we tell ourselves should not be immobilizing. This is when it is time to train ourselves to get real and deal with our sh*#. How can we get real and deal? Start recognizing and grasping the power of choice and the control we have in any situation. For generations, words effect others and leave impressions that last lifetimes. If we truly want to effect change in the world we must change ourselves and uplift future generations. This is where those positive, progressive mantras come in and where words become essential in changing habits. Here is a list of 9 mantras that were recently discussed at a Talk It Out With Shirley...
Stand in a mirror when you wake up and before bed, repeat one that resonates with you for at least two weeks to make it memorable and start effecting the change you want by believing in yourself and make better choices.
